Lovely little Indian silver Heart pendants, handmade approximately 100 years ago, with a flame design. The wear is lovely, and the back of the pendants are all quite nicely finished. The pendants measures 0.75 inches high by 0.25 inches wide, and weigh a hefty 2.5 grams each. Price is per pendant.

The most common source of silver in 19^th and early 20^th century Indian silver work was old silver coins, which are approximately 80% silver, and that is what this pendant is made out of. This pendant was made in the Repousse technique, which is a metalworking technique in which thin sheets of malleable metal are ornamented or shaped by hammering from the reverse side to create a design in low relief.
