This is a fun winged Cobra created from a vintage jewelry die. The die was created in the 1920's in the Egyptian revival period after the discovery of King Tut's tomb.

The pendant is, Uraeus , a symbol for the goddess Wadjet. She was one of the earliest Egyptian deities and was often depicted as a cobra, as she is the serpent goddess. Wadjet was said to be the matron and protector of Lower Egypt. She was also the protector of kings and of women in childbirth

This pendant is made from solid sterling silver that has been pressed into the die. It's a nice and thick piece of silver.

Between the serpent heads is a pink Tourmaline (6mm x 8mm) from Brazil.

The pendant is 1-7/8" across and 1/2" tall (45mm x 14mm).

It comes on a sterling silver circle chain that has two jump rings, so it can be worn at 18" or 20" . There is a silver lobster clasp with a tourmaline and peal bead charm.
